Instructables Rebrand
BRAND DESIGN, AD CREATION, USER INTERFACE DESIGN
Instructables is a website specializing in user-created and uploaded do-it-yourself projects. A rebrand was needed in order to adapt the brand to new mobile landscapes.
The rebrand consisted of a logo redesign, a new ad campaign, user interface design, and product design.
The final logo is an image of connected dots, and gives a positive emotion from the smile in the connected form.
Through the ad campaign, the use of imagery not only lets the viewer know what they can create while using the website, but also that it is easily accessible to anyone connected to the internet.
The user interface design not only highlights the different types of creators on the website, but also what users are currently making.
In addition, an emphasis on community was made through the featured creator header.
Finally, the product design was implemented as a way of advertising the new branding for Instructables, and also to provide the company with unique items to offer their users for purchase.
